My little Vera has a fat tummy.
She thinks chicken treats are the most yummy.
       She hides her stuffed cat
       Then lies very flat
Before giving her kisses to mummy.

This little girl is my prettiest sable
(But don’t tell Chaos or Noodle this fable).
       She dances with glee
       As she runs with Roly
And leaps upon me from the table.

Miss Vera is the “nurturing mother”.
She cleans the ears of her sister and brothers.
       She bites toes through socks.
       She’s the queen of my flock,
And I know she is like no other.
